Hauppauge Industrial Park

At 1,400 acres, the Hauppauge Industrial Park is the largest industrial park in the Northeast.

The project proposes to retrofit the industrial park, providing housing, schools, restaurants and other amenities for the 55,000 people who currently work there.  The plan creates new public spaces, improved streetscapes, and improved pedestrian, bicycle and transit routes through the project, and proposes a much-needed North/South BRT or Light Rail Transit corridor linking the Montauk, Ronkonkoma, and Port Jefferson branches of the Long Island Railroad.

This proposed retrofit was a collaboration between Anderson|Kim and Ela Dokonal, Seth Harry, Alexander Latham III, Mike Lydon, and Padriac Steinschneider.
